We have been celebrating the colder days recently. Thank you for providing your children with lots of layers and warm clothes. We The morning sunrises have been stunningly beautiful and the frost makes the most fantastic fractals.
We have been wrapping up warm and encouraging the children to embrace the cold weather. We have used magnifying glasses to look at the frost and ice. We have invited the children to play and explore frozen blocks of ice with all kinds of natural objects. This promoted conversations of what is ice? Why does it melt?
The baby room (Ladybirds) have made icy pictures using metallic felt pens, chalks and white hand prints for snowflakes.
