The children have had the best week! We have packed a lot in and not only celebrated Pancake Day but World Book Day too!
We started the week with our usual visit from Story Bears, (see previous blog). On Tuesday, 'Cheesy Broomsticks' being cooked in Hedgehogs Bakery, (cheese twists - yum!). On Wednesday we were visited by Kim from The Learning Journey and we cooked pancakes on our campfire - Yum!
On Thursday, we met many a character from a children's book and held a 'Book Fest' under the tree. Every child received a book token to spend in the book shop.
The weather was a real treat so we enjoyed many a picnic and the children even initiated their own staged talent show. Meanwhile, the children in Ladybirds and Butterflies were enjoying the story of Stickman by Julia Donaldson. We just love the abstract pictures painted by real sticks!
