Celebrating Our Guests

As we near to the end of another year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our regular visitors to St. Michael's. Their passion, drive, talent and professionalism has really enhanced the opportunities that our children experience here at nursery. Right through from our youngest little Ladybirds to our four-year-olds in Kindergarten, our visitors see the children join in, grow in confidence and thrive.

Clare from Story Bears always brings her ukulele and a captivates her audience with a story or two.

Kim from the Learning Journey is a qualified teacher and Forest School Lead. She brings bags of ideas, enthusiasm and nurtures children's critical thinking skills, imaginations, problem solving and ingenuity.

Romar Sports visit weekly to deliver a tailor-made course for early years in football. The fun games are designed to get the children moving, improving balance, coordination, large muscle movement and core strength, not to mention team building, turn taking, camaraderie and confidence.

We have also welcomed Kim the dentist to talk to us about oral health and hygiene.

Another highlight has been Tasha of Djembe Devon visited us to teach Kindergarten children all about the Djembe drum.

The children were invited to have a go on the African drums, and they experimented with the beat……fast, slow, tap, tap, tapping, then building up louder and faster.

We had so much fun and benefited from the session so much that we have actually hired an authentic African ‘Gathering Drum’.  This means that the whole nursery now accesses the benefits that the drumming sessions have to offer.
