Dragonflies Make Carnival Masks
We adore these colourful masks inspired by the carnival colours of Rio De Janeiro! The children in Dragonflies have loved designing their masks, snipping, gluing and naming the different colours. The children have been exploring the topic 'All Around the World' and they have been also been looking at pictures and information books on the country France. Some of the children have been there and talked about their trip. The children made playdough and we were talking about making baguettes and bread rolls with our dough. Playdough is an absolutely valuable resource to get little fingers moving and to develop and strengthen their hand muscles by squishing, flattening, rolling, crumpling, pinching and breaking the dough apart. This puts them in good stead for their pre-writing skills which will eventually aid their readiness for writing. Well Done Dragonflies!
