The children made Gruffalo Crumble in the Hedgehogs Bakery last week. The children chopped, mixed and scooped to create the most delicious crumble a Gruffalo would love to devour!
The children added blackberries and apples. We talked about where they grow. The children took home their Gruffalo Crumble and we have received reports that it tasted "Crumble-licious!"
Meanwhile in Forest School, we identified and looked closely at the Brambles. We know that we need to wear protective gloves when handling the brambles and we also used secateurs to cut some long vines to make cordage. The children used the mallet to gently tap the vine to create long stems to twist into cordage.
