Kindergarten continue to talk about Autumn and have been collecting different colour leaves and matching them on a colour chart. The children have had the most fun gluing them on baking paper and sticking them together to make gorgeous lanterns. They work beautifully with torches or little LED lights.
Kindergarten have learnt a new word - nocturnal. We had so much fun in outdoor learning building dens and caves for our nocturnal creatures to live in. The children worked together as a group to make a large den and then sorted through photographs of animals that are nocturnal. We enjoyed the story 'Owl Babies' and created some brilliant pictures of owls, bats, hedgehogs and other nocturnal animals. We even had stories in the tent and used torches to see in the dark.
