Lanterns in the Dark Woods

As a continuation of our 'Light and Dark' theme this term, the children have made the most glowingly gorgeous leaf lanterns. The children collected leaves and we talked about the colours and why they fall off the trees this time of year. We glued, painted and used felt tip pens to create shape, colour and texture to our lanterns. We lit them up and the children were mesmerized by the glowing lamps that they had made.
