Moonlight and Icicles
The children in Kindergarten enjoy calm, mindful sessions in our beautiful Hygge Hut, (Hygge the Danish word meaning to slow down and live in the moment). The children choose from a wealth of resources and loose parts. Art, craft, snipping and sewing are always popular. Children are trusted with real authentic resources such as china tea cups, saucers and silverware. We love the icicles that the children have snipped in the shape of triangles!
Our curiosity box this week has been all to do with the moon. This has sparked us to talk about the Luna festivals including the Chinese New Year of the 'Rabbit'. They know all about nocturnal animals and we looked at information books about the moon and the stars.
