Snails, Races & Making a Farm!

Dragonflies were fascinated to meet a large garden snail who goes by the name of Tilly. They watched her move over the grass and some of the children held her. They looked closely at her beautiful patterns and made sure to return her to a safe place in the garden.

We have made habitats for other creatures such as dinosaurs and farm animals. On Monday the children delighted in making a dinosaur land in the woods and gave the dinosaurs a mud bath complete with fresh herbs!

We set up a farm in the tuff tray outside because a number of children have expressed an interest in farm animals. We have been singing 'Old McDonald had a Farm' and on that farm he had a "Gruffalo" and a "dinosaur"!
