World Recycling Day 2021

We love to recycle at nursery and we are already well on our way in becoming a plastic free nursery. Cheeky Monkey is our Eco Ambassador and collectively we are earning badges for him as a record of our progress.

Our little Ladybirds upstairs have been busy reusing newspaper and magazines to make a collage for a display. Our Butterfly group have been using up all their recycling packages for craft work and Dragonflies have used their recycling materials to make Cinderella's castle on their display board.

Kindergarten have been sorting packages into materials and learning about land fill. They had great fun sorting through cardboard, paper, polystyrene, single use plastic & foil. They had the story 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley' by Sarah Roberts. They had a large water tray with marine toy animals to help them understand the concept of unwanted rubbish in the sea.
